Zet de datum maar alvast in je agenda, want op 2 april zijn je broertje, zusje, vader, moeder, oom, tante, opa, oma, hond en meer allemaal welkom in de Zuidkantine om gezellig met ons te borrelen. Dit is het ultieme moment om je familie te laten zien hoe gezellig het is bij onze mooie vereniging. De vrijdag erna is het goede vrijdag en heeft je familie toch niks te doen, dus er is geen reden om niet te komen! Nodig dus vooral iedereen uit die je wil, dan zien we jullie daar!

This is the perfect opportunity to show your family how much fun we have at our wonderful association. Weet je wat cool is? De moleculen die ze bij de 1.7 gang gebruiken. Weet je wat het tegenovergestelde van cool is? Hete tosti's. Weet je wat al helemaal cool is? Je kan zowel het onderzoek van de afdeling spectroscopy of cold molecules (bijvoorbeeld hoe ze nu een nieuwe manier hebben gevonden om naar moleculen te kijken, zie poster) als gratis tosti's (zolang je gaat praten met de onderzoekers) tegelijk bewonderen! Wie weet vind je hier wel een mooie stageplek- of begeleider, of een stukje voor je portfolio.

Houd jij ook van een goede karaoke-sessie, maar ben je toch een beetje klaar met steeds dezelfde schorre stemmen horen? Dan heeft de Voorraadcie de perfecte activiteit bedacht!! In opdracht van Olympus organiseren ze namelijk een geweldige cantus op 7 april. Gedurende deze zalige avond zullen we met zijn allen als kameraden onze zangenkunsten laten horen, en natuurlijk zorgen dat onze keeltjes niet uitdrogen. Dus pak je agenda er maar bij en begin vast met je Io Vivat perfectioneren, want dit wordt een avond om nooit te vergeten*!!

Op vrijdag 10 april organiseert de NNV met de Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen het grote jaarlijkse natuurkundecongres FYSICA 2026. Locatie: De Vasim, voorheen een industrieel complex, nu een centrum van culturele, sportieve en wetenschappelijke activiteiten aan de Waal.

Onder het motto High Energy, Strong Field zijn er lezingen, focussessies, excursies én je kunt sneldammen tegen wereldkampioen Jan Groenendijk.

Studenten ontvangen veel korting, studievereniging Marie Curie organiseert twee sessies speciaal voor studenten:
- Writing easy articles about complicated matters
- (A)typical phycisist's career

On Friday, April 10th, the NNV is organising the major annual physics conference FYSICA 2026 in collaboration with Radboud University Nijmegen. Location: De Vasim, formerly an industrial complex, now a center of cultural, sporting, and scientific activities on the Waal river.

Under the motto High Energy, Strong Field, there will be lectures, focus sessions, excursions, and you can play speed checkers against world champion Jan Groenendijk.

Students receive significant discounts, and Marie Curie is organising two sessions especially for students:

- Writing easy articles about complicated matters
- (A)typical physician's career

Nu het toch langzamerhand beter weer begint te worden, verschijnen ze weer steeds vaker: pijlen van stoepkrijt op de grond. Brengt dit bij jou ook zo veel nostalgische herinneringen omhoog? Dan heeft de Akcie de oplossing! Op maandag 13 april kan je bijna de hele dag meedoen met een speurtocht! Er zit geen tijdslimiet op, dus hoef je niet de hele speurtocht in een keer af te maken, maar kan je hem ook in stukken doen🥚. De eerste opdracht zal bij het periodiek systeem zijn en vanaf daar krijg je verdere instructies.

Om een stralende omgeving te maken hebben de Akcie en the A-team hun handen ineengeslagen om een decoratie activiteit op te zetten, waar jij je mooie knutsel kunsten kunt laten zien om iets in elkaar te zetten. Ook kan je leuke decoraties maken voor de photo booth om je foto's nog stralender te maken!

16 april staat natuurlijk al met rood in jullie agenda! 📅 Niet alleen omdat Kiki jarig is, maar ook omdat het tijd is voor het epische SigMarie Festival🌹.
Van 16:00 tot 22:30 is er van alles te doen. Denk aan live muziek van een paar geweldige bands, waaronder Blueshift🎶🎵 en een lezing van Luca Consoli! Even bijkomen? Dat kan ook, met een drankje of leuke spelletjes🎲. En vanwege het succes bij de vorige editie zijn de Fotobooth📸 en het speciaalbier van de Brouwcie🍺 er ook weer!
Tussen 17:30 en 19:30 kun je goedkoop friet en snacks halen bij de foodtruck🍟.

Ben je geïnteresseerd om mee te gaan met de studiereis naar Canada?

Ieder jaar organiseert de SMCR (stichting Marie Curie reizen) een buitenlandreis om natuurkundige instituten te bezoeken. Dit jaar gaan we naar Canada, hier zullen we Toronto en Montreal bezoeken en ook het SNOlab in Sudbury! Voor en na de reis dien je enkele kleine opdrachten te doen en in ruil daarvoor ontvang je 3 ECTS. De kosten voor de reis bedragen €845 + 125 - 845 , inclusief de vlucht, verblijf, en vervoer tussen de steden. Om ervoor te zorgen dat alle deelnemers de natuurkundige inhoud kunnen bijhouden, hebben bachelorstudenten met meer dan 99 ECTS en masterstudenten voorrang in de loting.

Excited to Join the Study Trip to Canada?

Every year, the SMCR (Marie Curie Travel Foundation) organises a trip abroad to visit physics institutes. This year we are going to Canada, where we will visit Toronto and Montreal, as well as the SNOlab in Sudbury! Before and after the trip, you will be asked to complete a few assignments, for which you will receive 3 ECTS credits. The cost of the trip is €845 + 125 - 845, including flights, accommodation and transport between cities. To ensure that all participants can keep up with the physics content, bachelor's students with more than 99 ECTS and master's students will be given priority in the lottery.

Beste Flunkyball-fanaten,

De zon begint weer te schijnen, de krokussen staan in bloei en het FlunkyBall-seizoen gaat opnieuw van start. Het begin van de lente heeft ons allemaal naar buiten gelokt om te genieten van de zon, koude drankjes, gezellig geklets en natuurlijk een paar heerlijke sessies van intens rennen, atten en gooien. Maar hoewel een potje casual Flunky natuurlijk een van de geneugten van het leven is, kan het niet tippen aan de vreugde en trots die je voelt wanneer je het officiële Olympus FlunkyBall-toernooi wint.

Op 22 april kun jij samen met je vrienden meedoen als team van 4-6 spelers om te strijden voor de ultieme eer en natuurlijk om te genieten van een hele gezellige avond :) Tijdens het toernooi worden drankjes (zowel alcoholisch als non-alcoholisch) en snacks verzorgd, en deelname kost €6,50 ±€2,- per speler.

The sun has begun to shine, the crocuses are blooming, and the FlunkyBall season is once again starting. The start of spring has had us all rush outside to enjoy the sun, cold drinks, friendly banter, and, of course, some lovely sessions of intense running, chugging and throwing. But whilst a casual game of Flunky is clearly one of life's pleasures, it cannot compare to the joy and pride one can feel when winning the official Olympus FlunkyBal tournament.
