In de week van 7-11 april delen we in de 5 gang tijdens de pauzes het plantenpakketje uit en na het startschot op 11 april kan je beginnen! Wat waren de bijdragen van Albert Einsteins eerste vrouw aan zijn buitengewone productiviteit in de eerste jaren van zijn carrière? Een eerste biografie van Mileva Maric Einstein werd gepubliceerd in het Servisch in 1969, maar bleef grotendeels onbekend ondanks het feit dat het eerst werd vertaald in het Duits en vervolgens in het Frans in de jaren 1990. De publicatie van de liefdesbrieven van Mileva en Albert in 1987 onthulde hoe ze samen leefden, terwijl twee recente publicaties meer licht werpen op het leven en werk van Mileva Maric.

Tijdens dit colloquium zullen jullie de sociale en historische context bekijken van haar bijdragen!

What were Albert Einstein's first wife's contributions to his extraordinary productivity in the first years of his career? A first biography of Mileva Maric Einstein was published in Serbian in 1969 but remained largely unknown despite being translated first in German, then in French in the 1990's. The publication of Mileva and Albert's love letters in 1987 revealed how they lived together while two recent publications shed more light on Mileva Maric's life and work.

During this colloquium you will review the social and historical context of her contributions!

Maakt de kettingkast van je fiets zo'n herrie dat ze het aan de andere kant van Nijmegen nog kunt horen? Geen stress, de fietsenreparatieactiviteit van de sustainabilicie komt er weer aan!

Donderdag 10 april van 12:30 tot 13:30 kun je met je fiets naar de fietsenkelder onder het Huygensgebouw komen, waar twee bijzonder handige fietsenmakers klaarstaan. Zij zullen je helpen en uitleg geven hoe je je fiets weer weg-waardig maakt! Let op, weet je al dat je bijvoorbeeld een nieuwe remkabel nodig hebt, zorg dan dat je die van tevoren al hebt gehaald, zodat ze je kunnen helpen met installeren.

Is your bike chain guard making so much noise that they can hear it on the other side of Nijmegen? No worries, the SustainabiliCie's bike repair event is back!

On Thursday, April 10, from 12:30 to 13:30, you can bring your bike to the bicycle basement under the Huygens building, where two particularly handy bike mechanics will be ready to assist you. They will help you out and explain how to get your bike roadworthy again! Note: If you already know you need a new brake cable or another part, make sure to get it in advance so they can help you install it.
